Restoring an Inner City Terrace Surry Hills
A substantial terrace in the inner Sydney suburb of Surry Hills was in need of restoration to all aspects of its facade.
Firstly, we restored the decking on both levels using tallow wood, a grade 1 Australian timber.
Secondly, we installed original style balustrades, columns and frieze work. Using original heritage patterns and moulds, we then manufactured the metalwork in aluminium. This enabled us to have the frieze and balustrade made in half or quarter sections, which makes the installation process infinitely easier.
To save even more time, we had the metalwork powder coated offsite and brought to site ready to install.
The result was a fully restored frontage which brought new life to an ageing terrace.
